Esofine-Ls Capsule falls under a class of medication known as antipsychotic (also familiar as neuroleptics or tranquilizers) medicines. It is mainly used for mental disorders such as hallucinations, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, vertigo and irritable bowel syndrome. Recently it has also come to be used in the treatment of premature ejaculation as it is believed to be a cause of both psychological as well as organic shortcomings.

On using Esofine-Ls Capsule the associated side effects that you may suffer from are lightheadedness, insomnia, irregular menstrual periods, fatigue, abdominal pain, drowsiness, lowered sexual desire, rapid or irregular heartbeat. In certain severe cases you may experience fever, uncontrollable sweating, gynecomastia (a disorder of the endocrine system where there is an enlargement of the malebreast size). 

Uses of Esofine-LS Capsule

Esofine-LS Capsule is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux).

How to use Esofine-LS Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Esofine-LS Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
Take it preferably 30 minutes before food.

How Esofine-LS Capsule works

Esofine-LS Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Levosulpiride and Esomeprazole. Levosulpiride is a prokinetic which works by increasing the release of acetylcholine (a chemical messenger). This increases the movement of stomach and intestines, and prevents reflux (acid going up to the food pipe). Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and ulcers.
