Nucoxia 90 MG Tablet, known as Arcoxia internationally, is a non-steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID)which is used to treat symptoms of psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It brings relief to people affected by acute pain, chronic musculoskeletal pain and treats acute gouty arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It belongs to cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) specific inhibitors class of medicines which reduce pain and inflammation by blocking the pain causing enzymes (COX-2) in the body. Nucoxia 90 MG Tablet comes as a tablet to be taken by mouth and is only prescribed when its alternate medicines have not helped in the treatment.

The dosage should be kept low and it should not be used longer than prescribed as it may put you at risk of heart attacks and strokes. The recommended dosage is 90 to 120 mg of the medicine to be taken once daily. It should not be taken by people suffering from peptic ulcers, stroke, severe heart disease and hypersensitivity. Studies have found Nucoxia 90 MG Tablet to be harmful to be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding stages. It is also not recommended for children below 16 years of age. It works well on adults and elderly people.
