Bunase 0.5mg Respules 2mlis a medication of the corticosteroid type that reduces inflammation in the body. It is available as a nasal spray, inhaler, pill and rectal form. For long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, the inhaler is used. The nasal spray is used for nasal polyps and allergic rhinitis. The pill in a delayed release form and rectal form treat various inflammatory bowel diseases including ulcerative colitis, Crohn disease and microscopic colitis.
There are a few side effects to taking this medicine as an inhaler which may include respiratory infections, cough, and headaches. Common side effects with the pills include vomiting, feeling tired and joint pains. Serious side effects include an increased risk of infection, cataracts and loss of bone strength. Long-term use of the pill form may result in adrenal insufficiency. Stopping the use of the tablet suddenly after long-term use may therefore be dangerous. It is advised to use the inhaler form during pregnancy as it is considered to be a safer option.
