Febumac 40 MG Tablet is used fordecreasing the symptoms of gout. The symptoms could be swelling, pain, soreness, redness and stiffness in certain joints of thebody. It belongs to the group of medications called xanthine oxidaseinhibitors. The medicine works by decreasing the level of uric acid by blockingthe xanthine oxidase enzyme. This enzyme helps the body to make uric acid fromxanthine. When there are high levels of uric acid in the blood, it can lead togout and the symptoms associated with it.

Your dosage of Febumac 40 MG Tablet depends on your age, the condition for which you are being treated and it's severity, your medical history and reaction to the first dose. It is available in tablet form to be taken by mouth. You can have the medicine with food or without it. Usually, it is taken once in a day but follow your doctor's instructions regarding the dosage.
