Uses

Lenalidomideisused to treat certain cancers (multiple myeloma,mantle celllymphoma-MCL). It works by slowing or stopping the growthofcancercells. It is also used to treatanemiainpatients with certainblood/bone marrow disorders (myelodysplasticsyndromes-MDS). Lenalidomide may lessen the needforbloodtransfusions.

Lenalidomide is notrecommended for the treatment of a certain type ofcancer(chroniclymphocytic leukemia) because of the increased risk ofseriousheart-related side effects and death. If you have this typeofcancer, talk to your doctor about the risks of usingthismedication.

How to use LenalidomideCapsule

ReadtheMedicationGuide provided by yourpharmacistbefore youstart takinglenalidomideand each time you get a refill. If you have anyquestions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Take this medicationbymouthwith or without food as directed by your doctor, usuallyonce daily. Swallow this medication whole with water. For treatment of certainconditions (multiple myeloma, MCL), you may be instructed to take thismedication in cycles (once daily for 21 days, then stopping the medication for7 days).
